DO

PA

RNP & NP (synonyms)
Specialists in nursing, licensed, graduate of a school of nursing. Examine patients, diagnose, treat and prescribe medications within their scope of practice.
Factors that obstruct a patient’s ease of access to health care, such as cost, transportation, language differences, and cultural differences.
CPT
Current Procedural Terminology, a standard language for billing medical services, procedures, and screenings to insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid.
Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
Outpatient clinics that provide comprehensive primary medical care to underserved communities. FQHCs qualify for Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and provide care regardless of patients ability to pay for services.
Remote Patient/Physiologic Monitoring
Outpatient monitoring of vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse oximetry, and respiratory rate, as well as parameters such as weight, as a means of preventing conditions such as hypertension before they develop.
